Bio

Kasim Peterson is currently the Digital Marketing Director and Creative Designer for Maybach Music Group. He also serves as the Marketing Liaison for all Rick Ross owned brands and those with which he has partnerships, including but is not limited to Luc Belaire, Wingstop, Checkers, and Rich Hair Care. While those responsibilities are vast, he also is the active Creative Designer for Bianca Bonnie, freelance designer for Roc Nation's Planes, along with being the Marketing Coordinator and A&R for several other artists and producers. Kasim's start in the music business began around 2006 as a young mixtape DJ in his hometown, Richmond, Virginia. Hard work and dedication lead to his release of new projects weekly. In 2008 his talent was requested by Slip-N-Slide DJs and Coast2Coast Mixtape DJs. As an accomplished mixtape DJ, he gained skills as a self-taught graphic designer by creating artwork for each project he released. This laid the groundwork for him owning his own graphic design agency. Social media marketing became a passion after joining the Def Jam Street Team in 2009. In 2010 Atlantic Records', Atlantic Elite DJs reached out to him, thus began the expansion of his networking. Kasim grabbed the attention of then, up and coming executive Troy “G-Five” Hough. He introduced him to Hell Rell of Dipset which lead him to handle all of his creative digital marketing and promotions. In 2016, while working alongside producer Beat Billionaire of Maybach Music Group, Kasim was introduced to Rick Ross and his team. This meeting leads to working on creative marketing assets for the “Rather You Than Me” album as well as his artistic talent being featured on several single covers. Summer of 2017, Ross invited Kasim back to Atlanta. This time he was given the responsibility of creative digital marketing for MMG, it's entire roster and affiliated brands, and the redesign of the iconic MMG logo. In the years to follow, the networking extraordinaire made even greater strides toward his future. Kasim turned a dream to reality, by creating and launching Indimpact Sessions in which he and his team help spread their knowledge of the entertainment industry across the U.S. in both major cities and those that have been overlooked by others. In 2019, after receiving great advice from his industry peers, Kasim started his own record label, CRWN Music and secured distribution with Equity Distribution.
