Paul "pda" Allen does not just do music… he is music. He is a man that is living a purpose driven life. Growing up in the church, he was playing the percussion and drums for the youth choir by the time he was four years old. At seven years old, his passion increased and he began to play the saxophone. Naturally gifted for music, he could not stop there. By the time he was eight years old he began playing the piano. Out of all the instruments he had experienced, the piano became his soulmate. He grasped the piano so quickly that by the time he turned eleven he was already the key musician not only in his church, but also in his school. Paul's exposure to music pushed his desire to learn other areas of the business therefore, he achieved the skills of songwriting. Little did he realize his combination of passion, playing and writing music would make him the third most sought after producer in the music industry (Billboard Magazine).

Paul's uphill journey began when his exceptional confidence toward music intertwined with his leadership potential caught the attention of producer, Michael J. Powell, best known for his work with Anita Baker. Immediately Powell embraced Paul (only 18 years old at the time) and decided to make him his protege. Under Powell's tutelage, Paul quickly added to his already impressive resume and cultured the dexterity of programming, engineering and mixing. It was there that Paul's abilities became open to the entire music industry. Hence, he worked with musical greats such as, Aretha Franklin, Gladys Knight, Anita Baker, Rachelle Farrell, Patti LaBelle, the Winans, the Clark sisters, Aaliyah, Tyrese, R Kelly and many others. He then went on to engineer/mix for the likes of Mario Winans on projects 112, Lil' Kim, P. Diddy, and R. Kelly; with Quincy Jones on Tamia's 1st project; with .R. Kelly on The Winans "All Out" project; and with Babyface and L.A. Reid on the Waiting to Exhale soundtrack and Aretha Franklin's "Rose" project.

According to Paul, one of the best lessons he learned from Powell was, "Understanding that it is good to work with musical greats while working for someone else, but there is nothing like having your own company." Consequently, being the visionary that he is, his next venture was to realize his own music production and entertainment company. Thus, PAJAM was born. He knew that in order to set PAJAM a part from all others he would need to choose people who were like-minded and passionate as him. Therefore, his two best friends became his business partners, Walter A. Kearney and J. Moss.

This trio has created a sound and a company so purely unique that PAJAM has come to take on its own meaning … Their distinguished sound has created a notable discography that one can only praise and admire. This discography has come to include (just to name a few) celebrities such as, Destiny's Child, N'Sync, the Backstreet Boys, Kelly Price, Dru Hill, Boyz II Men, Kierra "Ki-Ki" Sheard, and a host of many others.

Their continued vision for excellence prompted them to go back to their gospel roots and create their own groups under the PAJAM name. As a result, they created and produced Ramiyah, 21:03 and the incomparable J. Moss… all of which have been signed to major record deals. Whoever coined the phrase "everything your hands touch turns to gold" must have had Paul "pda" Allen in mind because his life has truly been one filled with destiny and anointing… and believe it or not, this is still only the beginning for this phenomenal talent.
